Are you overweight? Do you struggle when you button your pants every morning? Don't worry, you are in good company. Most of adult Americans today are overweight, or have some kind of weight problem.

Being overweight doesn't come by itself. It brings along all kinds of other health problems with it. Of course, without the extra weight, many of these problems will vanish.

Is there a reason for this? Were we always so fat? The simple answer is no. A hundred years ago, even fifty years ago, most people were thin and healthy. So what happened?

First of all, peoples lifestyles were much different back then. People had much more active lives. Most people had to work hard physical labor to make a living. Today most people sit at a desk.

Those of us that go to the gym, even several times a week, don't work out nearly as hard as people used to do for a living. We just don't get the exercise that people did in the old days.

Another reason, and this is much more difficult to overcome, is that our diet has changed dramatically. Most food people ate before was natural, locally grown, and preservative free.

Today, most of the food is processed, chemically altered to make it last longer, and filled with preservatives. It might make it last longer on the shelf of a store, but is it healthy?

The biggest difficulty with this is that it can be next to impossible to find something to eat that doesn't seem like it was developed in a laboratory. And even if you a natural food grocer, it can be too expensive to eat on a regular basis.

All the food you can find today, no matter where you get it, is likely filled with preservatives and chemicals.

It's no surprise then, why we are becoming a nation of obese people. We are kept at desks, fed unhealthy food, and then shamed for being overweight. It's not our fault.

The biggest scam is that there are corporations and companies that make billions of dollars every year selling you food that makes you fat and unhealthy.

Only by discovering how to eat healthy, non processed food, and purge your system of the remnants of the unhealthy chemicals that you've been fed, can you hope to have a thin and healthy life.
